Orthopaedic Surgeon | Spine, Hip & Trauma
I am a Victorian trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with post fellowship training in Spine, Hip and Trauma Surgery.
I have a keen interest in musculoskeletal medicine, commencing my professional career as a Physiotherapist before moving into Medicine and sub-specialising in Orthopaedic Surgery. During my training I developed an affiliation for trauma, hip and spine surgery and my focus continues to be in the management of degenerative disease of the hip & spine, deformity correction and general orthopaedic trauma.
I have completed fellowships at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Epworth Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital. During this time, I expanded my experience in the management of multitrauma patient care, degenerative spine disease and deformity correction including scoliosis and spine trauma.
I currently hold a public appointment as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Spine surgeon at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where I am actively involved in teaching and training junior surgeons and resident medical staff.
I am dedicated to providing safe, holistic patient care and developing new approaches to treating complex surgical conditions through research, advanced technology and clinical development, while maintaining a focus on improving healthcare outcomes for all of my patients.
Outside of medicine, I am a dedicated husband and father of three young children. My family and I enjoy the lifestyle of living on the Mornington Peninsula.
